Eric Zitzmann, MD

Dr. Zitzmann was a founding member of Westchester Orthopedic Associates in 1971. He graduated from Cornell University and Cornell University Medical College and, after two years of surgery at New York Hospital, served as a naval surgeon on an aircraft carrier, and at the Submarine Medical Center.

His residency in orthopedic surgery was at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and included a Junior Anne C. Kane fellowship. Dr. Zitzmann has a special interest in adult hip and knee replacement surgery and foot surgery. He has published on hip and back surgery.

He has served as Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at New York Medical College and Orthopedic consultant at New York Hospital, Westchester Division. Dr. Zitzmann is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Board of Independant Medical Examiners.

His interests outside of medicine are sailing.
